Move: Nosene x Noizz

Nowadays, there is a huge debate about the fashion and its influence on the environment. With regard to that, I hope that you have heard about terms fast and slow fashion. This article will slightly touch both topics, but I’ll leave the definition for someone more competent in the field. However, what I would like to talk about is the brand Nosene and its event SWAP. You may think that it’s just the brand like any other, but the main difference is in its beautiful goal.

How does Nosene work?

Behind the whole project stands Katarína Hutyrová, who wanted to create the kind of second hand, which would be stylish and pleasant in every aspect. It works on a very simple basis – you can bring clothes you don’t need or don’t wear anymore and you feel sorry to throw them away. In the store, they’ll wash them and sort them to those that are going to be sold and those that will be recycled. What’s more, the third part goes to the organisation called "My Mamy", which helps women, who were less fortunate in their lives.

How does SWAP work?

SWAP, on the other hand, works on the basis of exchange of clothes. Each visitor can bring as many clothes as they want and according to the amount, they’ll receive coins (max. 10). Those coins can be used as a payment for clothes you’ll find (1 coin = 1 piece). The clothes that you’ll bring should preferably be clean, nice and not damaged. At the end of the event, behind the closed doors, clothes are sorted again to those that stay in the store, those that go to people in need and those that will be recycled. During the whole event, you’ll also have a chance to listen to very interesting discussions about fashion and ecology.

Do you also have full wardrobe and no place to go with all the unnecessary clothes? Take it either to Nosene or to the next SWAP and do something good for our planet and for yourself. The feeling that comes after is worth it and so is the thought that you helped those in need.
